I was originally wearing some sweet yellow boots with this THAT I WAS SO EXCITED TO SHOW YOU but then the sole fell off one of them in the middle of picking up my groceries at Woollies because life has impeccable timing, but I think this still looks decent? Definitely not as hot as I looked hobbling around Karrinyup shops holding half a boot in my hand, but still not bad.

I've had the most delightful day, you guys! I caught up with a couple pals to see The Sapphires, which was just delightful. Charming and splendidly put together - easily one of my favourite films I've seen this year. (Go see it, srs.) Had a sneaky burger, got my fringe trimmed. (FEELS SO GOOD. You'll actually be able to see my eyes in tomorrow's photo and everything, it's going to be awesome.) The weather was exquisite, I dressed with the nanna levels cranked right up, and I plan to spend the rest of the evening jamming to some sweet 80s tunes while I get ready for the rest of the week's work. Pretty much a perfect way to spend a wednesday, no?

Also: props to Misty for taking part in some photos once again. This is the most enthusiasm she's ever shown for something Lisa-related. And I am a little obsessed with that last photo, her bitchface lessons are really paying off, huh?

Here is a rule! Everyone should own at least one bright red coat. It will make you feel like you can conquer anything the world has to throw at you. And with a classic grey skirt and cute blouse, I set out on my conquering. Which for me happened to be trekking out to Joondalup on a sunday evening in the pouring rain to find a restaurant I was supposed to be taking photos at completely closed, after minimal sleep and a day-long headache. But hey, shit happens. At least I looked good.

(Title in honour of the Spice Girls at the Olympics closing ceremony that I may or may not have happy-cried the whole way through. I've had a long couple days.)

Today is a good day. I was up early to get these photos (I love that morning light), caught up with a uni pal to share the amazing, life-changing experience that is Superstar Waffles (oh MY GOD), finally got the oh-so-pretty dvds of my graduate film delivered and am currently sitting in the backyard soaking up this lovely weather with a cup of tea. And tonight I'm off to the Bakery to take photos of Jinja Safari. And and I get to do it all while wearing this adorable blue gingham skirt which I am 90% sure is homemade. Yes. Very good day.

Happy first day of Restyle, y'all!

When I found these two items I couldn't help think that when paired together they're just a little bit deliciously 90s. Somewhere between Rachel Green and Cher Horowitz, perhaps? Hopefully? Anyway, excuse me while I sit over here and wait for my massive-and-stylish-but-somehow-affordable New York apartment or outfit-generating computer program. I'm happy with either (I'm not greedy like that).

Mimi Loves Jimi boots / ASOS socks

I'm not normally one to be wise enough to invest in staple wardrobe items - I get bored by the term 'investment piece' (I really, really shouldn't) and instead buy things on a whim or distraction without thinking what I can wear them with. So I am very glad, and a little proud, that I forced myself to buy some black, slightly-heeled, just-plain-enough-to-go-with-everything boots. Because they go with everything! And they're comfortable! And classy! The combination of those qualities does not exist enough in my wardrobe.

Is this what growing up feels like?

OH HEY YOU GUYS. Remember this lil' thing? I had to take a sizeable break while my life was swallowed by my final year of uni - but with that all set and done it's time to bring it back. Huzzahs all around!

SO yesterday afternoon was spent with delightful blogger babe Tara at the Beaufort St Festival where our eyes feasted on rack after rack of overwhelmingly quality vintage. Pretty dresses were bought, burgers were eaten, local culture was consumed and a rad time was had by all.
