What I wore on the first day of 2012. Accessorised with a mild hangover, unwashed hair smelling of the drinks spilled last night and a stubborn resolve to make this year the best fucking one yet. Happy twenty twelve, y'all.

Swim to reach the end

Almost immediately after I took yesterday's photos this dress arrived happily in the mail. I'm getting quite the cute little dress collection, it's fantastic. I couldn't resist this one because it looks like the kind of thing I wore when I was six and we all know I'm basically a six year old stuck in a nineteen year old's body. It's another treasure from Twitch Vintage and it's just SO much fun. I was actually intending to shorten the sleeves until I saw these photos where they just look all long and puffy and cute and now I'm not so sure. What do you think?

No turning back

A couple of new delights entered my life over the weekend - first of all this beautiful and adorable brooch by Daniella Rosen that was a belated birthday present from one of my best friends. She's obviously WONDERFUL. (I wore it with my last outfit on sunday, making me look even more like a unicorn threw up on me. Which, yes, is a good thing.)

And secondly the vintage leather satchel mentioned in my last post that I picked up at the Retro market! Dear oh dear I do like this bag. Kind of classic-schoolbag-meets-Indiana-Jones? Which is like the coolest thing ever at the moment? Why are these questions? ANYWAY it's pretty and I like it which really is all that matters.
