How about it! Time again to share my love for all things Grace + Scarper. One of my favourite Perth labels, both to wear and to work with. I'm a big fan of the way designer Lisa Jefferson takes this feminine simplicity and gives it an edge, creating pieces that work equally as well by themselves or piled on top of each other. Since I've been gradually adding more gold to my life this year (gradually? Did I not have my body spray painted gold for a Goldfinger-themed routine at work a couple weeks ago? Can't really say something like that without a 'photo to come later'!) I've opted for a pair of shiny, warm-hued rings. Got my hands feeling ever so regal.
You can check out the online shop here (with some photos taken by yours truly) or a list of stockists here.

grace + scarper
ring and bracelet by Grace + Scarper, ornament gift from my great aunt
Something new! I do love those words. But not as much as I love these pieces by Grace + Scarper jewellery. To me they strike a perfect balance between elegance and badassery (and if you know me then you know just how much I dig that combination). I shall definitely enjoy adventuring around with these on my hands, feeling ever so fine and ever so witchy.
AND AND it won't be long at all until my collaboration with Grace + Scarper for their Spring/ Summer 2012/ 13 campaign is released! It's a beautiful video showing off beautiful jewellery, and I can't wait to show you.

Oh and P.S. - a very, very awesome announcement will be made on the blog tomorrow. It involves lots and lots of clothes, and is lots and lots exciting...

fan-nanna-tastic
Firstly, I apologise for that awful, AWFUL, not-even-a-pun. I'm quite tired.
Secondly, I don't know when or how it happened, but all of a sudden my local op shop has become awesome. The raddest range of nanna jewellery I've seen in a long, long time. I picked up some earrings that were ridiculously oversized, had bold colours and pretty pearls as well as a PARROT. All cheap and all a two minute's drive from my house. Thank you, nannas of the northern suburbs.

my baby shot me down
A birthday present for one of my oldest friends. Bought from etsy shop Pettra, which specialises in jewellery made from natural stones adhered inside brass bullet casings. Bad ass and magical, all at once.

LuShae jewellery
And now for something slightly different... the lovely Sarah of LuShae Jewellery recently contacting me about reviewing a product and who am I to say no? This is not something I'm used to and made me feel quite special, so points scored before I even visited the shop :)
Tough choice but I went with these vintagey-type earrings, which is something I've been on the lookout for recently. Hello perfect timing!
So...
Quality: good. Very good. Maximum shininess and sparklarity. (Too technical? Sorry.) Ten out of ten for prettiness. And they're pretty damn photogenic, am I right?
Packaging/ shipping: they were shipped almost immediately and didn't take too long to arrive. The packaging though was very basic, at the very least a business card or something similar included would have been great. And maybe some ribbon or pretty paper - presentation goes a long way.
Website: easy to navigate. Plus there are guides to the history of jewellery, gemstones, metals and how to store and clean jewellery. Which, I'm going to be honest, would all be new information to me.
Overall... I've fallen a little in love with these earrings. If you're after something a bit fancy and don't want to spend a bucketload, give LuShae a look. Yay!

P.S. The earrings were complimentary but these are my honest to blog opinions.
P.P.S. Apologies for the limited updates recently; my camera had a slight mental breakdown. But all is good now and I'm back in full force! Yeah!
