black out: thursday

Totes my favourite dress at the moment. Picket it up el cheapo from a vintage shop in Newtown which I have forgotten the name of (which as a serial travel diarist upsets me greatly) on my recent Sydney jaunt. Fitted on top, floaty down below, spotted all over. Perfect!

black out: wednesday

I'm feeling well enough to not shudder at the thought of taking photos of myself! Hurrah! And I managed to find five minutes between downpours to squeeze in a quick photo sesh for my first (documented) Black Out get up! Double hurrah!

If you're Perth-bound I hope you found a way to make the most of this dreary weather - a comfy and colourful outfit, a warm cafe and a chinwag over lunch with an old friend made for a pretty perfect stormy wednesday for me.

black out

Happy first day of Black Out! The lovely Mon of Mon Amie has challenged a whole heap of bloggers to go a full week without wearing black. Not a drop. She asks...

"Have you ever wondered what your city would look like if just for one day, not one person was allowed to wear black - not even one iota? Would people behave differently? Would people be less hurried and more carefree?"

Now that is an idea too fun to resist.

I was pretty bummed to wake up today with a nasty cold so no photos just yet, but no worries - I'll be sharing this wonderfully colourful week with you properly as soon as I can stick a camera in my own face without dripping all over it (hot!)

For more info and the full list of bloggers taking party check out Mon's post here! More to come very soon!

onwilliam illuminites night markets

I've been a tad internet-absent lately as I treated myself to a holiday in Sydney (lots of photos and details to come!) but I am back in Perth town and have brought some exciting news with me - I'm going to be the Perth Fashion Festival's official blogger for the OnWilliam Illuminites Night Markets! How sick is that? It's going to be a wicked night - heaps of vintage stalls, crafty goodness, homemade treats and delicious food in the beautiful Perth Cultural Centre. If you've got the evening free head down and join me as I wander around looking for the best market treasures for PFF!

Got my hair did! By the ever fabulous and magical hair wizard Bee of Peggy Sue's. I am not-so-quietly very excited to be a true ranga princess once again.
